As a coach, for my team I would choose Ronaldinho at his best over Messi – Martin Cardetti

After joining Barcelona in 2003, the Brazilian went on to see a successful spell with the Spanish side, including a Ballon d’Or win in 2005.

Ronaldinho played with Messi briefly, with the Argentine only a teenager at the time and announcing himself to the world.

They both shared a telepathic understanding together and it looked clear Ronaldinho’s heir at Barca had arrived already.

Many might call Messi Barcelona’s greatest player ever but Martin Cardetti would rather have his former teammate in his team over his compatriot.

The Argentine gained his prominence with River Plate and also played with Ronaldinho during his time at PSG.

If he was a coach though, he has his mind set on who he’ll rather have in his team.

“As a coach, for my team I would choose Ronaldinho at his best over Messi,” Cardetti admitted to Crack Deportivo as quoted by Marca.

“I shared a year with Ronaldinho and he is a different player, he’s touched by God.

“He always had fun; with the ball he was always doing things and he practiced a lot so that he could replicate those things in matches.”
