It could end on a pretty sour note between Barcelona and Arthur Melo as the player is keen on ‘terminating’ his contract.
Just last month, Barcelona announced that they have agreed on terms with Juve over the Brazilian’s transfer. It was a deal that saw Miralem Pjanic move the other way.
But since then, it appears Arthur has not pleased with being left out of the club’s plans since his imminent move was made official.
Just recently, the 23-year-old refused to take part in a team training session, with Barcelona president Bartomeu tagging the act as ‘unacceptable’ and even threatening legal action against the player.
Marca now reports that Arthur isn’t bothered by a possible sanction (fee) and will push to terminate his contract regardless.
The report goes on to say that the Brazilian wasn’t pleased at Barca’s conduct regarding his transfer to Juventus. For the Catalan side, it was simply just a case of a transfer to balance the books.
Since the move was made official, Arthur has not featured for Barca once and his relationship with Setien is said to have taken a bad turn.
After 72 appearances for the Catalan giants, things could pretty much end on a sour note between player and club.
