Matteo Guendouzi generated headlines for the wrong reasons after Arsenal’s most recent Premier League clash against Brighton.
Just after the 2-1 defeat, Guendouzi was seen grabbing Neal Maupay by his throat and pushing him to the ground.
It later emerged that Maupay was taunting the opposition which prompted the Gunners midfielder to do what he did. The FA also confirmed that he would face no punishment.
Regardless, it is not the first time that his volatile attitude has stirred up controversy. Back in February, he was benched for a game against Newcastle United after having a bust-up with Mikel Arteta.
Arteta believes the 21-year-old Frenchman, or any player at the club for that matter, must abide by certain standards set at Arsenal.
He said : “It’s not about learning, it’s about experiencing certain things and some behaviors that you expect as a manager, as a club, to represent each other, and ways to show frustration or happiness.
“We have so many different cultures in our team. They’ve been educated in different ways and I have to understand and accept that as well.
“But we need to know that we have a route. We have certain ways, we have some values and you have to be within that.”
