Arriving at Liverpool in 2018, Alisson Becker has gone to become one of the very best goalkeepers in Europe in his two-year stay at the club so far.
Questions were asked when Liverpool decided to shell out €70 million, a figure considered too high for a goalkeeper, for Alisson. World-class performances on a consistent basis by him, however, has silenced his critics.
Ever since joining the club, the Brazilian has won FIFA Best Goalkeeper, Yashin Trophy, Premier League Golden Glove, among a few other awards.
He has also been a driving force behind his side’s Champions League and Club World Cup successes last year and Premier League win this year.
Alisson told the official club website. “This is our desire, we want to win more, win more titles for this club, win more individual awards. We want to be the best team and to be the best we can, the best version of ourselves.
“The sky is the limit so we need to keep pushing, we look forward also for the next challenge.
“Now the next challenge is the next game, but in a long perspective we have the next season and we will do everything to win that again.”
