James Rodriguez Real Madrid nightmare is almost certain to be brought to an end this summer.
It is not thought the transfer fee will be an issue as Los Blancos are thought to be willing to simply cut their losses on the Colombian international.
As far as the player’s stepfather is concerned there are plenty of options. But the priority is for James to be playing regular first-team football and be happy.
Speaking to Super Combo del Deporte en Cali, while he prefers for him to stay in La Liga, anything is possible.
He said: “I just want to see him happy and playing first-team football on a regular basis.”
“There are plenty of top-class clubs interested in his services.”
“I’m a big fan of Spanish football and he’s been linked with Atletico Madrid, which I would love as they have wonderful fans and an excellent new stadium.”
“We’ll have to wait and see what transpires with it being impossible to rule out a move to the Premier League or Serie A too.”
