Liverpool have been given the all-clear to lift the Premier League trophy after their clash with Chelsea.
The Reds take on the Blues in their penultimate game of the season in exactly a week from now.
Liverpool were officially crowned champions last month when they mathematically went out of reach from any side.
Supporters raced on to Anfield and ignored social distancing rules at the time to celebrate their first title triumph in 30 years.
Liverpool have now urged their fans to abstain from any of that as Jordan Henderson would be lifting the trophy in about seven days from now.
The Merseyside outfit gave details of the ceremony and also said that it would be aired free on television so all fans can watch.
A statment read on the club’s website:
“With supporters unable to attend the behind-closed-doors fixture, the historic occasion will involve a unique presentation designed to acknowledge and celebrate Liverpool fans.”
“Reds players and staff will collect the Premier League trophy and their winner’s medals on a special podium built at the centre of the Kop surrounded by fan banners.”
“Sir Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool manager when the club last won the championship in 1990, will join Premier League chief executive Richard Masters to deliver the medals.”
“The Reds squad, led by captain Jordan Henderson – who will lift the trophy at Anfield – have been involved in the planning for the much-anticipated ceremony.”
