Frances’ top division Ligue 1 will begin its 2020/21 season on August 23rd.
Ligue 1 was the only one of Europe’s top five leagues who did not try to complete its 2019/20 season.
However, they are the first to confirm when they will be back in action. But there is no word as yet as to fans and COVID-19 protocols.
Defending champions Paris Saint Germain will face Metz at the Parc des Princes for their first game.

PSG will and Lyon are still in the UEFA Champions League and will play in Europe’s top competition before competing in their new domestic season.
The Paris side has also announced a string of friendlies as it makes preparations.
