Paris Saint Germain’s coach Thomas Tuchel will stay at the helm for next season confirms PSG sporting director Leonardo.
PSG boss Thomas Tuchel will apparently still be on the team bench next season.
Paris Saint-Germain once again ran away with the Ligue 1 title and are in the final of the Coupe de France as well as the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
However, at a club like PSG silverware does not guarantee anything. Just ask the likes of Unai Emery, Laurent Blanc, Carlo Ancelotti, and the list goes on.
So given the talk of fallouts with players such as Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, there is obvious doubt about Thomas Tuchel’s future.
The likes of Massimiliano Allegri and Mauricio Pochettino as well as an outside chance of Pep Guardiola should he leave City have all been touted as successors.
But the club’s sporting director Leonardo has now moved to assure Tuchel that e is safe for one more year.
Speaking to JDD he admits that’s all he is willing to commit to right now, but insist there has been no discussion with other potential candidates.
He said: “He has one year left on his contract and he will be on the bench next season.”
“He has done well, the results are good. An extension? We have time to think about it.”
“I surveyed no coach. Never, it’s important to say it.”
Tuchel will stay at PSG next season says Leonardo“With Tuchel, we talked, he knows everything. It’s very clear, there’s nothing with anyone.”
