Borussia Dortmund were without two of their most priced possessions during their earlier Bundesliga clashes against Paderborn and Hertha Berlin.
Although they managed to win both the games, the pair’s prolonged absence, particularly Haaland’s, could have further hampered Dortmund’s Bundesliga objectives.
Haaland has scored 10 goals from 11 games since his arrival in January while Reus has directly been involved in 17 goals in the league.
The former was taken off after suffering a knock during his side’s 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich last month. The latter, on the other hand, has been absent from the team sheets since February due to thigh injury.
Lucien Favre recently informed that while both the players have now put their fitness issues in the past, the skipper is yet to be fully ready to play again.
“[Haaland] has been training again since Wednesday and has been involved in everything. He looks very good. Otherwise, everyone else who was available last week is okay,” the BVB boss told in his pre-match presser.
“Marco started training with the team this week. We’re happy that he is training again and we all hope that he can play again as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I cannot give a more precise forecast yet. He will train again on Friday.”
