The Bundesliga and Germany’s second division are considering a return to action in May, with a proposed finish before June 30th.
A report from the Kicker claims the plan for the Bundesliga is still to conclude the 2019/20 season by June 30 in the latest, as outlined by UEFA.
DLF boss, Christian Seifert, says that is a reasonable expectation.
The notion has already been discussed in a meeting with the 20 Bundesliga clubs and the other 16 clubs in the second division, with the DFL already giving their backing as well.
Seifert expects there to be significant changes to the 2020/21 Bundesliga season regardless.
Although, as things stand, the Bundesliga is set to begin again in a little over a month’s time.
