Retired striker Antonio Cassano is a huge fan of Josip Ilicic and believes that the Slovenian doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
Ilici currently plays for Atalanta and has had an amazing season.
He is currently the fifth highest goal scorer in Serie A this season. In his last game, he scored four goals in the Champions League clash with Valencia.
However, Cassano is adamant if he played for a team like Juventus he would be the talk of the town.
In an interview reported by Goal, Cassano said:
“He is not exalted by the press only because he plays for Atalanta.”
“If he had been at Juventus instead of Dybala, at this time the whole world was talking.”
“If we see what Dybala has done in the last three years and what Ilicic has done, the Slovenian wins 10-0.”
