Set to premiere on the 30th of this month, KBS 2TV’s new Korean drama “The Matchmakers” is a comic matchmaking drama in which a young widower and a young widow meet and try to get elderly widows and an elderly bachelors married in the Joseon Dynasty.
Shim Jung Woo (Rowoon), a young widower who became the youngest person to pass the state civil service examination, and Jung Soon Deok (Cho Yi Hyun), a young widow with a double life, join forces to present “The Matchmakers”.
In this regard, Rowoon and Cho Yi Hyun are attracting attention with their comic version of the ‘main poster’ of ‘The Matchmakers’ released on the 6th, in which they declare their departure as Shim Jung Woo, a tantrum-prone young widower, and Jung Soon Deok, a young widow and matchmaker.
In the comic version of the ‘main poster’, Shim Jung Woo (Rowoon) and Jung Soon Deok (Cho Yi Hyun) pose with their backs to each other as they embark on a project to find their ‘heavenly match’ for the sake of success and excitement.
In addition, Shim Jung Woo and Jung Soon Deok exude a strong presence as they stand tall amongst the things that signify the golden seal of marriage in traditional weddings, heralding the arrival of their unique characters.
The two then exude a powerful force with their determined expressions, raising expectations for their chemistry. Especially Shim Jung Woo and Jung Soon Deok, the phrase ‘We will find you a good match’ is written in the centre of the screen, raising curiosity about the grand plan of the Joseon matchmakers.
