Manchester United have been forced out of their pursuit of Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin. It was the Toffees’ hefty asking price of €87 million (£80m) for their striker that drove the Red Devils away.

Reports in Spain suggest Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira is a subject of serious interest for Atletico Madrid. And the fact that Atletico will have to sell players before making additions to their squad has boosted Arsenal’s hopes of signing long-term target Thomas Partey.
