Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico has emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester City. Inconsistency and fitness issues have prompted Pep Guardiola to address his defense.

Liverpool have moved one step closer in securing the services of Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara. The midfielder has agreed to personal terms and is confident over a move to Anfield.

Pogba closing in on new Man United deal.
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is close to agreeing to a contract extension with the club. Expected to be announced at the end of this season, the new deal will see Pogba extend his stay at Old Trafford for five more years.
The Frenchman was unsettled at the club and appeared to be moving towards the exit door in the earlier parts of the season. However, he has had a change of heart ever since Man United’s recent resurgence and is now committed to the club. [The Sun]

Tottenham have stepped up their pursuit of Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The club are making efforts to lure the midfielder in the summer, though they are yet to submit an official bid. Southampton value him at around £25million, though €22 million could be enough to seal his transfer.

Serie A duo looking at Pochettino.
Inter Milan and Juventus have both shortlisted Mauricio Pochettino as a potential managerial candidate. The pair will consider appointing him should they sack their respective managers, Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri, at the end of this season.
